In 1963,
during holidays, Bruce goes to Prismo Beach and
discovers the "dunes buggies".
|
|
|
Prismo Beach is a place for
clams collecting and the local people use weird
machines to go and fish the clams easier and play
in the huge dunes. These machines, based on old
american cars chassis are quite ugly but very
funny.

November 1963, the master is
build-up slowly, but surely.
|
|
|
He will spend 3 years building it, which is the
time to learn the wood and fiberglass techniques.
He makes a master then a mould, making at the time
a rotative moulding system opening in 2 parts to
make the unmoulding easier. It's innovation time
and Bruce is obsessed by this. He then builds many
fiberglass boats and becomes an expert.

|
|
Bruce starts to believe that he can
improve the concept and goes back home
with projets and ideas in mind. Quickly,
he makes out a scale model (rough), then
directly starts manufacturing the master
with wood and expanding
plastic.
