Main noticeable détails:

New chassis. The fork bearing the gear box is dropped by two degrees ensuring a better stability. The oil strainer is thus modified, as well as the angle of the exhaust pipes. The front axle now has an anti-roll bar and a steering absorber. The steering column is shortened, the steering-wheel becomes tulip shape with a chromed circling for the Klaxon. The metallic wire-way under the front wings is no more in metal but in rubber. Inside, the door garments, in two-colour skaï since 1958, loose the chromed bar going through them. New door handles of push-button type. The sun visors are in white vinyl instead of transparent plastic. On the hood, the badge with the Wolfsburg signum becomes black.The passenger has a feet-rest. The carpets are in one piece for the front and for the back. The chrome limiting the front of the top above the wind screen is suppressed as from the chassis 2 533 100. The top archs are modified as from the chassis 2 600 199, and further modified after the chassis 2 967 313. As from the chassis 3 063 541, a system allows to block the top in open position.

New engine, with the dynamo rest now bolted to the carter and new gear box with synchronised ratios. New skirts at the front and the back. The steps rubber and the wings mouldings are now of the same colour as the car. New door handles. The dashboard chrome is now in alumunium sheet instead of being moulded. No more starter at the dashboard. New counter. Outside mirror in serie. New upholstery design. The arrows leave place to indicators placed on the front wings and to modified rear lights.
