DETAILS

The Okrasa kit is first commercialized under the name TS-1200. It comprises a pair of double-entry heads, two Solex 32 PBIC carburettors identical to those utilised by Porsche on his 356, covered by air-filters Knecht, two special intake manifolds, as well as various wiring and Durits, notably those allowing the pressure balancing in the intake manifolds.

As an option, one can use a Fram oil filter and a small copper serpentine to cool the oil. When using the oil filter and cooler, an adaptor allows to exit the oil under pressure by the hole of the original probe and to allow it in under the dynamo. This system is in fact only half efficient as only part of the oil goes through there. Anyway, it is more efficient than the original system.

The second kit commercialized is much better because more complete. It is for 1200/34 cv engines. Called TS-1300/30, it comprises the same parts as the previous kit plus a magnificent crank shaft in CHROME-MOLYBDENE, with a run of 69,5 mm (instead of the original 64 mm), thus bringing the cylinder to 1295 cc. Please note that this crank shaft is already equipped with eight centering dowels, a modification that the preparators will adopt only much later.

In order to allow increasing the run, eight extensions of push-rods and eight struts to place under the cylinders are included in the kit. With such a configuration, the volumetric ratio passes from 6,6 to 7,8.

The two kits are completed with 4 special dowels shorter, destined to replace the upper dowels at the centre of each head, this to help bolting the special intake manifold. This modification will in fact appear on the 1300 and 1600 engines in August 1970.
