of March, the oval rear-window replaces
the split one, and gains 23% of surface.
Soon after, the ashtray receives a handle.
The mouldings around the windows are in
anodised aluminium instead of polished.
Same thing for the various mouldings and
for the hood handle replaced by a chromed
version.
As
from the chassis number 517 305, front
axle receives eight torsion blades instead
of six. As from the chassis number 557
124, the steering-box cover receives three
reinforcements. At the same time, the
gearbox case is replaced by a reinforced
model and the differential is
changed.
On
December 21st, some modifications are
included to the production : the 1131 cc
engine is replaced by a 1192 cc (77 mm
pistons instead of 75 mm), increasing the
power from 25 to 30 bhp (except for the
Standard on which the 1131 cc disappears
only end of 1953). The brakes liquid tank
is from now on visible behind the spare
wheel ; it was previously situated on the
master-cylinder. The dashboard lights
intensity can be modified and the contact
key joins the starting command, the push
button situated on the left of the driving
wheel being suppressed. The windsheild
wipers rod becomes flat.
Colours:
Two colours are dedicated exclusively to
the sedan version : light green and middle
blue. Five colours are available for the
sedan and cab : atlantic green, metal
blue, black, Texas brown, and sahara
beige. Available only for the cab.: red
and white as well as twin tints in
atlantic green/light green and Texas
brown/beige. The Standards can be Jupiter
green, dark blue or grey with white
painted lines replacing the
mouldings.
