As from May 1950, a new model comes out : the Type 23, better known as "Kombi" because it allows to transport either passengers or goods, once the back bench-seats are removed. All Type 2 models are now equipped with an engine with cooling shutters, opened and closed thanks to a thermostat. The engine thus reaches its functioning temperature faster and can be run without any restriction. |

![]() On these two photographs, you can note the modifications made on the front seats for the mass production. Indeed you can note that the tubular frame of the bench-seat is covered and looses the second adjusting notch allowing to bring forward or backward the bench-seat in the first version. |
