All the Type 2 models without exception receive 14 inches wheels and the tubeless tyres, as well as the reinforced brakes of the "One-Ton". Le sliding door can in option be mounted on the left side. Some modifications are brought to the in-feed and the warm air circuit within the cabin ; the wind-screen wipers have longer blade rubbers and a more powerfull engine. Like on the single-cabin Pick-up, the double-cabin Pick-up can be delivered for a complementary cost with a 1m20 cover (measured from the loading deck). However, the double-cabin one will never be proposed with a wider deck in wood or steel plates sheets. In 1964 comes out a new model; the Pick-up with low loading step. On August 1st comes out a new numbering system for the chassis by model-year. In October, the last Type 2 equipped with a 1200 engine is produced. 1964 is the record year for the Type 2 production, with 200 325 items produced.
