In 1965, the Volkswagen catalog mentions the Westfalia Camping-car as being the dining room as well as the living room, bedroom and the holiday house. If, on the last Type 2, with a cap-shader, there was a dashboard slightly modified from March 1955, the front seats had been modified all that time for comfort purposes. The small tank situated on the left of the steering wheel under the dashboard is just the wind-screen wiping liquid. To action it, you only needed to push on the black cap. In 1965, the access door to the compartment is equipped with a lock identical to the Beetle one.
