Today
much appreciated, the
camping-car on the
Bay-Window basis was an
option sold by the
Volkswagen sales
network. Very well
equipped, it became a
symbol.

The
evolution of this model is quite
shy. The Type 4 engine with 1800
cm3 is still in the catalog and
that does not help the Type 4
carburation with 1700 cm3 engine.
We note however that on the
Deluxe version, aluminium side
mouldings appear on the body,
with rubber inserts.

This
moulding is positioned lower than
previously, and disappears on the
tail-gate. This change, not very
beautiful, will not meet the
expected success and most people
will prefer the " naked "
version. On the Micro Deluxe
version, the sun-visors are now
black.

The steering direction is modified and
the bolts that fix it on the front face
automatically break themselves in case of
an accident, allowing the column to move
forward if the driver hits the
steering-wheel.
