1964

Few evolutions this year apart from the available colours and the inside in skai.
The inside of the 1500 N is in fabric.
The gear-box is re-ranged. The brake pedal is modified. The tank air-inlet diameter passes to 14 mm.
The horn is now placed towards outside, on the left.
The anchor points of the safety belts are placed slightly higher.
The models S receive an air-inlet at the carburettor with a diameter of 23 mm.
On the models N, the decklid and the hood are maintained by springs.

1965

Two major modifications for this year. First, a new body, the Coupé (Fastback in the U.S.A.) completes the range, and at the same time, a new engine with a capacity passing from 1493 cm3 to 1584 cm3 (85.5 mm x 69 mm). The compression ratio comes down again to 7,7, while previously at 8,5 to 1 on the 1500 S, improving the reliability and longevity. In counterpart, the power remains at 54 bhp, but at 4 000 revs/mn.

Disk brakes at the front, and improved tightness of the chassis/body.

The seats and the arm-rests are redesigned, the doors panels are improved and, the inside rearview mirror foot is modified.

The steering wheel as well as the dashboard instruments are either black or light brown. The air-inlets by the windscreen are wider for a better water evacuation when raining. The opening handles are chromed and the arm-rests have a small metallic moulding. Thanks to its new motorisation, the 1600 reaches 135 km/h, the Variant speed remaining unchanged.
